January 3, 2026 – I am absolutely thrilled and humbled to announce that I have finally smashed through the 50,000 follower milestone on Instagram (@vrcricketguy)! 🎉🏏 It took a dedicated grind to climb from 45,000 to this incredible 50K mark, but every like, share, comment, and cheer from you all made it worth it.
As a 49-year-old balding father of four (with two cheeky grandkids keeping me on my toes), this is one of the proudest achievements of my life. If you had told me four years ago – back when I was just tinkering with VR in my living room – that I’d build a thriving social media presence reaching tens of thousands worldwide, I would have laughed right in your face. Me? A social media influencer? No way!
But here we are, and it all started with my passion for VR cricket. Discovering iB Cricket on the Meta Quest 3 was a game-changer (pun intended!).
