Progress with the VR Cricket Career Game

As you may know, I have been creating my ver own VR cricket game. I have decided to call it VR Cricket Career. The aim of the game is to start as a young cricketer in the village league and progress to hopefully become an international cricketer.

VR Cricket Career Update Part 8

At the moment, I am still developing the village league level. This will help me to prefect the bat on ball physics, the fielding set up and the scoring system. In my latest VR Cricket Career update video on my VR Cricket Guy YouTube channel, I have demonstrated the bowling, fielding and the fact that I am now able to score runs and accumulate a score.

My next aim is to generate a total score for the whole team and implement a league table, your averages and various other stats to help you progress through the game. I am still not 100% satisfied with the bat on ball physics. When ever I get close to thinking I have perfected it, a ball will suddenly disappear towards the moon from a gentle push of the bat.

I also need to include a crease, something that I have neglected to include. Sometimes I find myself concentrating on the bigger thing rather than trying to fine tune some of the minor details. I am continuously finding small bugs every time I test the game. but to be honest, I actually quite enjoy the whole process of figuring out solutions before moving on with the game.

I still have sound effects to create. I really want to implement some village cricket humour into this game. I wealth of person village league cricket to fall back on and with the help of social media, I can also rely on my followers and subscribers to suggest more comedy gold. My only fear is that some of the banter sound effect could become repetitive and get boring to listen to.

I’m trying to release at least one update to social media every week, but some times due to work life and private life, it is not possible. I really enjoy the feed back I have been receiving on the game so far. It continues to motivate me to get the VR Cricket Career game complete and ready for general release.

In my head, I am aiming to release something for people to play towards the end of May or early June 2026. In my update videos I am using the VR Cricket bat from VRMERCHSTORE.COM
