The Meta Horizon Mobile App
Last week, we announced improvements to our mobile app, making exploration easier than ever right from your phone. Be sure to update the app from your mobile app store on Android or iOS to access the latest features.
What’s new with this update:
- Avatar Customization: Express yourself with a new dedicated tab to easily customize your avatar.
- World Discovery: Discover and join new worlds from your mobile device, connecting with friends over games, music, and more.
- Light Mode: Introducing Light mode for a more accessible, comfortable, and customizable viewing experience.
Quality of Life Improvements
For Creators:
Starting today, we’ve expanded the list of world genre tag options and increased the total number of tags that creators can add to their worlds to three tags per world. These tags will help build world descriptors, informing users of the experience they can expect in both VR and on mobile. This update will be rolled out over the next few weeks.

Select Known Issues:
The Worlds team is currently investigating the following issues:
- For Creators:
- Grabbable objects set to force grab and transfer ownership when a player enters a trigger do not work the first time but work on subsequent attempts.
- Some creators cannot see worlds where they are collaborators in the Collaborations: Editor list.
- Accessing player location and other player data in an OnPlayerExitWorld event handler can cause the world to crash.
- Attaching a script to an entity or editing its script will change the motion property from “None” to “Animated.”
- Recording or casting while playing can cause Horizon Worlds to crash when using Meta Quest 2.
