The Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S can run a number of high-production VR games that are often described as AAA or near-AAA. These are titles with bigger budgets, stronger visuals, and longer campaigns than typical indie VR games.

Here are the main ones currently available or widely recognised on the platform.
Batman: Arkham Shadow
Batman: Arkham Shadow is one of the strongest AAA-style releases on the Quest 3. It is a full action-adventure game set in the Arkham series. You play as Batman with free-flow combat, gadgets, gliding, and stealth sections rebuilt for VR.
It is a Quest 3 / Quest 3S exclusive and is frequently listed as one of the best overall games on the headset.
Asgard’s Wrath 2
Asgard’s Wrath 2 is a large action-RPG developed specifically for Meta Quest. It features a long campaign (often cited at 60+ hours), combat, exploration, and a story that mixes Norse and Egyptian mythology.
It is one of the biggest single-player games available on the standalone headset and is regularly recommended as a flagship title.
Assassin’s Creed Nexus
Assassin’s Creed Nexus brings the series to VR. You play as multiple assassins (including Ezio, Kassandra, and Connor) in new memories. It focuses on parkour, stealth, and combat adapted for VR.
It is a Meta Quest exclusive and one of the few major third-party franchises with a full VR release on the platform.
Other Notable High-Production Titles
- Arizona Sunshine 2 – A polished zombie survival campaign with strong production values and co-op options.
- Metro Awakening – A horror title set in the Metro universe with solid atmosphere and production.
- Resident Evil 4 VR – An older but still well-regarded VR version of the classic game.
Are These True AAA Games?
In traditional console and PC terms, most VR games do not have the same budgets as major flat-screen AAA titles. However, games like Batman: Arkham Shadow, Asgard’s Wrath 2, and Assassin’s Creed Nexus are the closest the Meta Quest platform currently has. They offer longer campaigns, higher production values, and more polished presentation than the majority of VR releases.
