First Look at iB Cricket Stadium 23 on Meta Quest 3

iB Cricket has added another new ground, and Stadium 23 is the latest one I’ve had the chance to try on the Meta Quest 3.

iB Cricket Stadium 13

What Stadium 23 Looks Like

This is the second of the brand-new stadiums from the iB Cricket design team. It is not as large or imposing as some of the other grounds, but it looks excellent in VR.

Standout features include:

  • Mountains in the background
  • A viaduct (or aqueduct-style structure)
  • A water tower
  • Hot air balloons
  • Areas of jungle around the ground
  • A worn pitch and a pleasant overall atmosphere

The ground feels more intimate than some of the bigger stadiums, which makes for a nice change of setting. I asked viewers in the video if they recognise which real-life ground it might be based on — feel free to leave your guesses in the comments.

Gameplay on Ultra Insane with 0% Bat Shield

As usual I played with 0% Bat Shield against Ultra Insane bowling. The match was a chase of 198 and it did not go to plan. Aggressive shots against the short ball led to a few boundaries and one decent six, but also a string of wickets. We finished on 106 all out.

The smaller, less intimidating ground did not make the bowling any easier. Timing still had to be right, and the harder difficulties continue to punish anything loose.

Worth Unlocking?

Stadium 23 is another well-designed addition and worth playing once you have the gems. The unique backdrop (mountains, viaduct, hot air balloons and jungle) makes it stand out from the more traditional grounds.

If you are still working on unlocking stadiums, the main way is by scoring fifties and hundreds with 0% Bat Shield. More details are in the How to Get Gems in iB Cricket post. For a full ranking of the grounds, see the Best iB Cricket Stadiums Ranked guide.

The bat used in the video is the one from vrmerchstore.com. Details and why I recommend it are in the Best VR Cricket Bat for Meta Quest post. Setup steps for the Quest are covered in the Ultimate iB Cricket Setup Guide.
